  1. Turn the controller to the “off” position.
  2. Turn the water to the system off at the city required backflow device.
  1. In general, these devices are located within 3’ to 5’ of your water meter.
  1. Check to make sure the power is on, and the controller is plugged in.
  2. Push the re-set button.
  3. Unplug the controller and replace the backup battery.

  3. If the controller has a bypass switch for the rain and temperature sensor move it to the off position.
  4. Is the controller programmed with a station run time, start time, and a start day?
  5. Is the controller in the on position?
  6. Check to see if water is turned on at the city required backflow device.
  7. Has there been any recent digging in the yard where irrigation wire could have been cut or nicked?
